Description

Product Introduction

E80G Radar Level Meter adopts high-frequency electromagnetic wave (80GHz) for level measurement. Featuring high precision and non-contact measurement, it adapts to level measurement under various complex working conditions. It is especially suitable for urban inland inundation water level monitoring, open channel water level monitoring, sewage discharge and other scenarios. Widely used for level and stock measurement of strongly corrosive and high-dust media, it delivers reliable level monitoring solutions for industrial production and environmental protection.

Product Features

Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Technology

Suitable for liquid level and solid level measurement.

Strong penetration, ideal for applications with heavy steam and dense dust.

Application Requirements

Measured Vessel
The 80G Radar Level Meter is suitable for various types of vessels, including tanks, troughs, towers, etc. It can perform measurement for both large storage tanks and small containers.
Measured Medium
The 80G Radar Level Meter measures level of various liquids and solids (such as powder, granules). It delivers reliable measurement for media with different dielectric constants. Adopting non-contact measuring principle, it adapts to harsh medium environments including high temperature, high pressure, corrosion and viscosity.
Environmental Conditions
The 80G Radar Level Meter works indoors and outdoors. For outdoor installation, a sunshade or protective enclosure is recommended to prevent LCD aging caused by prolonged sunlight exposure.
It uses high-frequency electromagnetic waves for measurement and is less affected by environmental factors. It operates normally indoors or outdoors, in bright or dim conditions, and adapts to various climates: high temperature, low temperature, humidity and dryness.
Installation Method
The installation method of the 80G Radar Level Meter affects measurement accuracy and stability. Normally, it shall be mounted on the top or side wall of the vessel to ensure vertical transmission and reception of reflected radar signals. Meanwhile, the influence of installation position on radar wave propagation should be considered, avoiding obstacles and interference sources.

Mounting Height & Orientation

  • The instrument shall be mounted perpendicular to the liquid surface. Tilting will reduce the amplitude of received signals and impair measurement accuracy.
  • For conical vessels with flat tank tops, the optimal mounting position is the center of the tank top to ensure measurement down to the vessel bottom.

Mounting Position Selection

  • The 80G Radar Level Meter shall be installed at a certain distance from the tank wall. The recommended distance is 1/6 of the tank diameter, with a minimum of 200mm, to avoid interference from the tank wall.
  • Avoid obstacles and interference objects at the mounting location, ensuring the radar beam can freely travel to the liquid surface and reflect back.
